Lessons From The Last Bear Market

With stocks in a bear market and the economic outlook shaky, here are some lessons from the last bad bear market. The last bear market in stocks was the 33.9% plunge from February 5th to Match 23rd 2020. However, the Covid bear market and recession was caused by a 100-year economic storm, and it was cut short by an historic government emergency stimulus program; so it is not very instructive in understanding how the current bear market might end.
